Hi!
I am Helen Fares.

I’m a journalist, activist, host, podcaster and economic psychologist.

With a Syrian and a german heart beating in my chest I grew up in Leipzig, East Germany. While having Soul, Gospel and Hiphop as an anchor in my youth, I realized during my final years of high school that I want to do something with music. Thats why, while going to university, I started working as a music journalist, hosting festivals and producing a podcast with DJ Josi Miller. With all that’s happening in the world right now, though, I came to the conclusion that talking about music all the time is just not enough. I then decided to use my reach to not just talk about culture, but also about society, politics and science. I believe that we as a society can only make progress if we work towards making education more accessible. Through my work on instagram, the podcast „Homegirls“, documentaries, and reportages I want to contribute to making a change in people. My goal is for everyone to find a more sustainable way of budgeting our own and other people’s human and natural resources.
